Embark on a self-guided, 5.5km walking tour of modernist sites from the 1920's and 1930's. The trail takes in 16 historic villas, houses and estates, such as the building of the Silesian Sejm (Silesian Parliament), and the garrison church of St. Casimir the Prince. There are information kiosks along the way to explain the history of each place.

With sprawling woodland and recreational areas spanning up to 620 hectares, it attracts walkers, cyclists, and inline skaters. It also offers a blend of entertainment and science, such as the Silesian Planetarium and the Silesian Stadium.

Formerly an island, Ostrów Tumski (or Cathedral Island) is the oldest part of Wrocław, dating back to the 10th-century. Set amongst picturesque streets that seem to be frozen in time are historic buildings, cathedrals and churches, such as the beautiful Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the Church of the Holy Cross and the Archdiocese Museum, as well as the city's charming Botanical Garden. Look out for the famous lamplighter at dusk as he lights Ostów Tumski’s original gas lamps by hand.
