ParisZürich

Zürich
At the northern tip of the lake that shares its name, Zürich is Europe's leading economic hub. However, scratch beneath the surface of Zürich's financial reputation and you'll find an attractive Altstadt (old town) and, to the west, a post-industrial district filled with cool bars, art collectives and fashion upstarts.

Pay a visit to a football-lover's heaven, the FIFA World Football Museum. Even those who are less than mad about the beautiful game will find plenty to keep them entertained among the interactive exhibits and events.
Visit Zurich's Opernhaus, the city's first permanent theatre opened in 1834 with Mozart's Zauberflöte and is now the main venue for opera and ballet in the city.
For a wonderful way to see the city, take to the water. Head out on a boat trip on Zürichsee, the city's namesake lake, or a flat bottomed boat tour of Limmat river from Landesmuseum station.
MilanFlorence

Florence
Often considered the birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence is a city shaped by the master artists, writers and philosophers of the period. Today this can be seen in Florence's preserved historic architecture, monuments and iconic galleries, with the entire city declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.

A visit to the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, more commonly called Il Duomo, is an essential part of any trip to Florence. The cathedral is Florence's most prominent landmark, looming over the city, and has the largest masonry dome in the world. This architectural masterpiece features the famous bronze doors named 'the gates of paradise' by Michelangelo. Admire the religious relics and let yourself be enchanted by the famous paintings, sculptures and marble facade.
Stroll along the Ponte Vecchio, the historic bridge that spans the river Arno. Take your time to pop in and out of the local shops and restaurants that line the main walkway, and pause to admire the fantastic views of the river.
One of the world's most iconic museums, the Uffizi is a treasure trove of masterpieces from the Renaissance to the present day. Exploring its galleries, you'll come across the likes of Botticelli, Giotti, Caravaggio, Piero della Francesca and Filippo Lippi, among many, many others.
RomeTaormina

Taormina
Taormina is Sicily's most popular hilltop town–and it's not hard to see why. Perched on a craggy promontory overlooking the Ionian sea, expect spectacular views everywhere you turn, with the silhouette of Mount Etna always lurking in the background.

- Stroll the pretty streets and while away warm afternoons in charming squares - Piazza IX Aprile is our favourite.
Lady Florence Trevelyan was a Scottish noblewoman who fled home following an affair with Edward VII, at that time was heir to the British throne. She arrived in Taormina in 1884 and created this beautiful garden, which provides tranquil respite from the bustling town.
Discover places that featured in the seminal film franchise 'The Godfather' on this walking tour around northern Sicily.

MessinaReggio Calabria

Reggio Calabria
Reggio Calabria is a port city separated from Sicily by the Strait of Messina. Despite being best known as the 'jumping off point' to Sicily, the city's world-class archaeological museum and beautiful promenade make it worth lingering over. Be sure to join in the waterfront passeggiata, and keep an eye out for the Fata Morgana phenomenon, a shimmering mirage that can be seen across the water.

- Enjoy a tour of the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Reggio Calabria where you can view numerous historical artefacts including the famous Bronzi di Riace, two bronze statues of warriors found in the sea.
- Enjoy a stroll around Opere di Rabarama, located just off the seafront. Enjoy the various statues and sculptures, as you wander around what is arguably the best stretch of Italian Coasline. Quietly set on the Falcomata' Lungomare (seafront), the statues of Rabarama live the night of Reggio Calabria, silently gazing over the history that intertwine the most beautiful kilometer of Italian coastline.

Reggio CalabriaSalerno
Salerno
Capital of the name-sake Provence, Salerno offers a gritty, lived-in alternative to the neighbouring picture-perfect towns dotted along the Amalfi coast. Expect a medley of industrial and historic landmarks, and an old town buzzing with unpretentious osterias and plenty of bars.

Milan has a long artistic tradition and there is no shortage of places to see it. From the oldest collections of Italian Masters at Pinacoteca Ambrosiana to the more modern at Galleria d’Arte Moderna as well as cutting-edge contemporary art at Fondazione Prada, there's something for all tastes in this creative and cultural city.
Head to the outskirts of the city to visit La Vigna di Leonardo, Leonardo Da Vinci's small vineyard, which is housed in the peaceful gardens of Casa degli Atellani, a 15th-century mansion.
Hit the shops in Europe's fashion capital. The beautiful Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping centre is home to a vast range of clothes shops, including the original Prada store, which is one of the most notable landmarks in Milan.

MilanBasel

Basel
The Swiss city of Basel, located on the border of France and Germany, consistently ranks highest of all the cities in Europe for quality of life. Even as a visitor it's easy to see why, with its vibrant old town set around the Rhine River, over 40 museums and galleries, and easy access to hiking routes and outdoor activities.

Explore 45 acres of luscious greenery in Merian Gärten, southeast of central Basel. Each season brings its own highlights, from rhododendrons in spring to plums and apples in autumn. There's also an apiary and a water mill, as well as a café housed in the 18th-century Villa Merian.
Spend some time exploring Basel's Kunstmuseum, a fine art museum which houses the oldest public art collection in the world. Pieces ranging from the early 15th to 21st centuries are grouped in three different buildings (Hauptbau, Neubau and Gegenwart), and the permanent collection includes works by Monet, van Gogh and Picasso.
Head to the old port for a sunset drink. The repurposed area is now home to a vibrant, alternative scene with bars and clubs. We recommend Gannet, an old fireboat turned restaurant and bar and branded as the 'culture ship'.
