Recommendations

  • Be sure to visit the Halles au Frais, an indoor market with a huge range of fresh food and specialities from the area. On Saturday's, stop by the morning market, where the variety of stalls stretch from the foot of the cathedral to the river Somme, selling regional produce and local crafts.

  • Make your way to the lively Saint Leu quarter on the water’s edge to find the locals’ favourite spots for an apéritif.

  • Hire bikes and cycle the beautiful 63km riverside route to the Bay of the Somme on the north coast. From here, it’s an easy 35-minute return to Amiens on the train, or if you’re a keen cyclist you could cycle back too!
